About the charitable foundation
Who we are
The Pearland Firefighters Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2026 by Pearland firefighters to support charitable efforts in the community we serve.
As firefighters, service is at the center of what we do. We see firsthand the challenges people in our community face, but we also see the generosity and compassion that make Pearland a special place to live and work. The Foundation was created to bring those two things together.
The Foundation provides Pearland Firefighters and citizens an organized way to give back, raise funds for charitable causes, assist firefighters and members of our community, and support programs that make a positive difference.
Our Mission
The mission of the Pearland Firefighters Charitable Foundation is to support our community through charitable giving, community programs, assistance efforts, and partnerships that improve the lives of the people we serve.
As the Foundation grows, our programs will grow with it. Our efforts may include assistance for individuals and families experiencing hardship, support for charitable and community organizations, youth and community programs, firefighter-led charitable initiatives, scholarships, and other needs identified within our community.
Built on service
The Foundation grew from a belief that being a firefighter means more than responding when someone calls 911. We are part of this community. Our families live here, our children grow up here, and the people we serve are our friends, neighbors, and supporters.
The Pearland community has supported its firefighters for generations. The Foundation gives us another opportunity to return that support.

Our board of directors
The Pearland Firefighters Charitable Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of Pearland firefighters committed to the Foundation's mission and responsible stewardship of the support entrusted to us.
David Tilbury
David is a Driver/Operator Paramedic with the Pearland Fire Department and serves as President of the Pearland Firefighters Charitable Foundation. He has spent more than two decades in the fire service and helped establish the Foundation in 2026 to expand the ways Pearland firefighters can give back to the community.
Christopher Winstead
Christopher is a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Pearland Fire Department and has served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Pearland Firefighters Charitable Foundation since its formation. He has spent more than a decade in the fire service and was one of the Foundation's original three board members.
Cory Mayon
Cory is a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Pearland Fire Department and has served as a Director since the Foundation's formation. As a founding member of the Board, he helps guide the Foundation's charitable efforts and its work within the Pearland community.
Our Board oversees the Foundation's charitable programs, finances, fundraising activities, and community partnerships. Board members serve without compensation, allowing the Foundation to focus its resources on its charitable mission and the community we serve.
