Pearland First Responders Rescue Resident and Animals from Structure Fire

PEARLAND, TX — At approximately 6:20 pm on Monday, January 26, Pearland Fire Department and Pearland Police Department responded to a residential structure fire in Pearland.

Pearland Police officers arrived first on scene and located a resident inside the structure. Officers entered the residence and successfully removed the resident to safety.

Pearland firefighters arrived shortly thereafter as the resident was moved to the front yard and medical treatment began. Fire crews quickly extinguished a kitchen fire while additional firefighters conducted a thorough search of the residence for animals.

All animals were located and safely removed from the structure as crews continued fire suppression and overhaul operations.

One resident was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. No additional injuries or transports were reported.

This incident highlights the coordination, professionalism, and shared commitment to life safety demonstrated by Pearland police officers and firefighters. Through quick action and teamwork, responders ensured the safety of both residents and their pets while bringing the incident under control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
